AKC sends out certificates about a couple weeks after a dog completes a title (sometimes later as it takes them time to process events and wins).
Right now I just do agility with the dogs because we can, but I do keep track of certain milestone titles - those would be the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards from AKC in agility at the Masters Level Bronze = 25 Qs Silver = 50 Qs Gold = 75 Qs Century = 100 Qs Yes that is a LOT of qualifying runs and a lot of trialing - even if you have a consistent dog. (CC is not that dog). In between that, you have numbers for each set of 10 Qs in masters you get. So the letter MXP4 mean that the dog earned 40 Qs at the Masters Preferred level in standard agility. MJP4 would mean 40 Qs at the Masters Preferred level in Jumpers with weaves. (confused yet?) It is a lot to keep track of. I always am surprised to get something in the big flat AKC envelope - oooh what could it be? That and my short term memory is non existent so it usually is like holiday gifts. Ryka earned her Masters Silver title in Standard, and CC earned her 40th Masters standard Q! Considering how we aren't road trial warriors and often don't have perfect weekends I love getting appreciation for having fun with my pack. Also, Lzzy was a nominee for the 2018 ACE awards for AKC - recognizing outstanding canines! Good dogs! Onward to our future adventures. Bars Up I had a legit blogger page (from ye olde days of it being a separate unit). But since more and more sites are incorporating blogs on their own, I left my old Blogger site and am starting over. It will hopefully be easier and give me more motivation to update.
